Letter From Recruitment Chair

Dear Potential New Members,

Congratulations on wrapping up your senior year of high school!! As one chapter of your life closes, another exciting one begins! I remember the excitement that came with starting a new chapter, but I also remember how scary it was. The fear of being on my own, meeting new people.. The nervous excitement was real. If I’m going to be vulnerable, I was scared of where I’d end up in this new place, and what friends I would make. If you’re anything like me, don’t worry!! On a whim, my freshman roommate convinced me to sign up for recruitment, and this was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Soon, you will discover your new home away from home, with girls that will be your forever sisters. You will find friendships and opportunities you’ve never had before, alongside sisters that will support you beyond college . I would have never guessed that I’d be here today navigating recruitment  as Phi Mu‘s Membership Director, but I had sisters alongside me that trust me and put faith in me, and to them I owe the world.

If I could give you any advice, it would be to be yourself. Recruitment is not an interview or interrogation, it’s a conversation with a friend. I am so excited to see you all in a few short weeks and share so many reasons I fell in love with Greek life at HC. If you want to find this encouragement, memories, support, community, and friendships, sign up for recruitment!!!

Sincerely,

Dani Holt
